Boasting a rich 200-year history, this beautifully sheltered club water is uniquely nestled between Meltham Golf Club on one side and a protected, ancient woodland on the other.

Our Experience

The water is in a highly sheltered position, allowing you to cast a line even when more exposed local waters are unfishable. It fishes exceptionally well all year round, including through the winter months.

Our Venue

The facility features a secure, private car park right by the water. Access is restricted by a locked gate and stile. All registered members become key holders upon joining.

Prospective members and guests are welcome to view the waters, having parked responsibly on Knowle Lane.

Enjoy the pleasant, scenic quarter-mile pedestrian pathway to access the reservoir.

Our Values

Fishing is strictly permitted by artificial fly only. Our members are a friendly community.

We do, however, operate a bag limit.

Members may take up to 2 fish in any seven-day period. Most members practice catch-and-release, occasionally taking one home for the table.

The reservoir is regularly stocked with high quality rainbow trout ranging from 1.5lbs to 5lbs.

There is no close season and no restriction on the number of days you can fish. Fishing is strictly permitted by artificial fly only.

All fishing members must possess and maintain a valid Environment Agency Rod Licence before fishing.
